The Deputy Manager – Finance is a specialized leadership role within the Finance Department of SDB Bank, primarily focused on the integrity and accuracy of reconciliation processes. You will oversee the Reconciliation Unit, ensuring that critical financial data—including card center activities, CEFT transactions, and customer refunds—is meticulously verified and confirmed. This position requires a proactive supervisor who can monitor branch-level and head office bank/GL reconciliations to maintain strict regulatory compliance and accuracy. By resolving discrepancies in a timely manner and leveraging core banking systems, you will play a key role in safeguarding the bank’s financial operations and supporting its mission of driving socio-economic progress through stable and innovative banking practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all reconciliation unit activities, including card center and CEFT transaction reconciliations.

• Ensure timely confirmation and processing of customer refunds.

• Provide leadership and direct supervision to the Reconciliation Unit at the Head Office.

• Monitor all branch-level bank and GL reconciliation activities for accuracy.

• Ensure full compliance with internal and regulatory standards during reconciliation processes.

• Resolve financial discrepancies promptly to maintain operational integrity.

• Manage and analyze data related to bank and GL reconciliations to support financial reporting.

Candidate Profile

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum of six (6) years of experience in the Finance field.

• Strong knowledge of Bank and GL reconciliation processes.

• Understanding of CEFT/CEFTS transactions and settlement procedures.

• Familiarity with core banking systems and specialized reconciliation software.

• Proficiency in MS Excel, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and Data Analysis.

• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Exposure to the banking industry is an added advantage.

• Full qualification in AIB is considered an added advantage.
