We are headhunting a commercially astute Chartered Building Surveyor to join an established multi-disciplinary consultancy as a Salaried Partner. This is a strategic leadership appointment designed for a high-level practitioner ready to move beyond pure technical delivery into a role focused on divisional growth, high-value instructions, and team mentorship.

The Role

• Drive the expansion of the building surveying department through proactive business development and key account management.

• Oversee complex professional instructions including technical due diligence, dilapidations, and comprehensive building pathology.

• Lead a team of surveyors, providing technical guidance and overseeing the quality of all project deliverables.

• Manage high-budget contract administration and project management for prestigious commercial and residential portfolios.

• Contribute to the firm’s wider strategy, identifying new market sectors and optimizing service lines.

Requirements

• MRICS or FRICS qualification with significant post-qualification experience in a consultancy environment.

• Proven track record of generating new business and maintaining strong client relationships at a senior level.

• Deep technical expertise in traditional building surveying services and modern construction methods.

• Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on developing junior talent and driving departmental standards.
