About the Role

Panda is a leading waste management provider in Bradford, championing sustainable practices and the circular economy. We are seeking a skilled HGV Class 2 Driver to operate our specialized fleet. This role is essential to our operational success, ensuring waste materials are transported safely and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of customer satisfaction and environmental compliance.

The Pay & Benefits

Key Responsibilities

  • Specialized Operation: Safely operate HGV Class 2 vehicles, including Skip loaders and Hookloaders (RoRo).

  • Logistics & Efficiency: Optimize driving routes to maximize productivity and reduce environmental impact.

  • Compliance: Perform mandatory daily vehicle checks and promptly report any defects; maintain accurate digital records via the company tablet.

  • Regulatory Adherence: Comply with all safety, environmental, and traffic laws, including drivers’ hours and WTD.

  • Customer Excellence: Act as a professional point of contact for customers, providing excellent service at every collection and delivery.

  • Flexibility: Adapt to varied shift patterns, which may include weekends and Bank Holidays.

Essential Requirements

  • Licensing: Valid UK HGV Category C (Class 2) licence and a current Driver CPC.

  • Documentation: Valid Digital Tachograph card.

  • Experience: Proven HGV driving experience (experience within the waste management sector is highly desirable).

  • Technical Skills: Ability to operate or train on specific waste vehicles (Skip/Hookloader).

  • Physical Fitness: Candidates must be physically fit to handle manual tasks and wear required PPE.

  • Attributes: A safety-first mindset, strong communication skills, and a commitment to teamwork.
