About the Role
This is a pivotal leadership position sitting at the heart of financial performance for our UK Processing division. As the Finance Manager for Revenue and Cost of Sales (COS), you will be responsible for the accurate accounting and reporting of critical P&L lines across multiple businesses.
This role offers a unique blend of technical accounting, operational insight, and people management. You will work with complex datasets, partner with cross-functional stakeholders, and present results directly to senior leadership, including the CFO.
Key Responsibilities

Financial Control: Ensure all revenue and cost of sales are accurately accounted for monthly across all UK Processing entities, including complex intercompany transactions.

Margin Analysis: Conduct deep-dive reviews of gross margin performance, clearly explaining variances against budgets and KPIs to senior stakeholders.

Business Partnering: Collaborate with the FP&A team to align month-end accounting with weekly performance insights.

System Integration: Interrogate and validate data across multiple platforms (Sage, Workday, AMCS, and BI dashboards) and support the ongoing implementation of a new ERP system.

Audit & Compliance: Maintain robust balance sheet accounting for revenue and COS accruals; support annual budgeting and external audit processes.

Leadership: Manage, coach, and develop one direct report (Management Accountant), fostering a culture of high performance and technical accuracy.

Operational Liaison: Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies by working closely with IT, Operations, and wider Finance teams.

Requirements:

Qualifications: Full accountancy qualification is essential (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).

Experience: Strong financial control experience covering both P&L and Balance Sheet, preferably within industry or commerce.

Technical Skills: Highly proficient in working with complex data and navigating multiple financial systems.

Communication: Confidence in presenting financial results and insights to the Financial Controller, Finance Director, and CFO.

Mindset: A proactive problem-solver with high attention to detail and a collaborative, relationship-building style.
