We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join a supportive primary school in Burnley, starting September 2026. This is a full-time, temporary position offering long-term placement for the academic year. Key responsibilities
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the primary curriculum
• Support pupils academic, social and emotional development
• Assess and track progress in line with school and national expectations
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, mentors and school leadership
• Create a positive, safe and inspiring classroom environment
Pre-requisites
• Relevant teaching qualification leading to QTS (ECT status)
• Proven experience from teaching practice placements xiskglj in primary settings
• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies
• Two education or school-based references
• A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
